Introductory Construction Technician

Students focus on skills and knowledge related to: design, construction, fabrication and maintenance of products. Courses relate to manufacturing, processing, utilities, construction, mechanics, fabrication, supervision, contracting, logistics, transportation and heavy equipment. Open Site(s)

Foundations of Design (Dual Credit)

This course explores the creative design process through a series of composition, abstraction, and design projects. The aim of this course is to familiarize you with the creative application of sound analytical skills, imaginative conceptual thinking, and form making abilities. You will be introduced to a design process based on original thinking, in which you will synthesize collected information and draw conclusions based on established premises. The course will also demonstrate how to generate a number of design alternatives, and evaluate and select the most appropriate one. Open Site(s)

Computer Science and Coding 10

Receive an introduction to programming by making interactive drawings and animations using a JavaScript graphics library called P5.js. Then build static and interactive web sites using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Finally, put all your skills together in a final project.

Learn more advanced programming concepts in JavaScript to build bigger and better programs. Use P5.js to build advanced interactive drawings and animations. Learn how to build interactive web pages that can save and load data. Finally, put all your skills together in a final project.

Computer Science and Coding 30

This course is designed to give students significant time to pursue projects of choice. Advanced programming concepts and algorithms are explored using the Raspberry Pi hardware platform. Depending on the student's interest, virtual or physical robotics may also be explored.
