Our high school credit courses give you the flexibility to fit school into your busy schedule. For adult learners, recent grads, or current students, taking a course outside of normal daytime hours is often the best way to upgrade your marks or complete your diploma.

Fast track programs

15.5 hours/week for 8 weeks
Online or Metro Continuing Education / Avonmore (7835 76 Ave NW)

Pick up the pace! Pick up the pace with Metro’s Fast Track Program. It’s intensive, fast-paced, and best suited for students who are already familiar with the course content and have ample time to dedicate to their studies. Note: Students may take one class per quarter.

*Students must write a provincial diploma exam.

  • Quarter 1: Sept 9 - Oct 31, 2020 (no classes Oct 10, Oct 12)
  • Quarter 2: Nov 2020 - Jan 2021 (no classes Dec 21 - Jan 1). See class schedule for dates.

Self-directed programs

Your own timeline and pace

Work independently for added convenience and flexibility. With Self-Directed Learning, you have the ability to set your own pace and work independently through supplied print materials. Program includes access to a teacher advisor.

How to register

Self-Directed Learning at Metro is open to students 20 years of age or older on September 1, 2020. If you are under the age of 20, please contact Argyll Centre at 780-465-1299, or find your nearest location of The Learning Store. To register for self-directed, you will need to call Metro and book an appointment with a counsellor prior to registering. Call us at 780-428-1111 or email metro@epsb.ca
