In September 2019, the provincial government made some changes to the legislation that sets out how school divisions charge school fees. Our school fee schedule reflects these changes.
The school fee schedule below includes every fee that might be charged, for every grade. It is important to know that you may not have to pay for every item. In September, your school will tell you your fees and explain what each fee is for.

SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING REQUIREMENTS

Students must write a supervised final exam and diploma exam (if applicable) in the course(s) in which they are registered.
Choose courses very carefully. Once classes start, it is difficult to transfer courses. A $60 transfer fee per course is charged for a student-requested transfer. There is no charge for transfers made in consultation with a Metro counsellor or administrator. Call 780.428.1111. for transfer information.
Metro reserves the right to cancel any course. A full refund will be issued for all courses cancelled by Metro. Refunds take up to three weeks for processing through Edmonton Public Schools Financial Services.
If you submit a withdrawal form before the start of the third class of a course, textbook deposit and 100% of the tuition will be refunded. The $60 program fee is non-refundable. If you submit a withdrawal before the start of the fifth class of a course, textbook deposit and 50% of the tuition will be refunded. The $60 program fee is non-refundable. No refunds will be issued after the start of the fifth class of a course. The $100 textbook deposit (if applicable) is refunded upon satisfactory return of the textbook. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal. Refunds may take up to three weeks to process.
