Frequently Asked Questions – UGotClass Online Learning Courses

How long is a UGotClass course?

Each UGotClass is 4 weeks in length.

How do I register for UGotClass courses?

Register through Metro Continuing Education the same way you would with our regular courses — via phone
(780.428.1111), online, or in person (7835-76 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB).

When do I pay for my UGotClass course?

You can pay for your course at the time of registration whether it is online, over the phone or in person.  For online and phone registrations, we accept credit card (MasterCard or Visa).  For in person registrations we accept cash, debit or credit card.

Once I register for a UGotClass course, how do I get started?

UGotClass will send an email invitation to join the classroom on the Wednesday before courses begin. Please make sure to add to your Safe Senders List because sometimes these invitations are filtered as spam. 

What support is available from the instructor throughout the course?

Students will have access to the instructor via the written discussion area in the classroom.  Instructors usually log in to the discussion area at least three different days per week.

What happens if I have a technical issue with my course?

If you have difficulty with course access or other technical problems, you may call the Metro Continuing Education office (780.428.1111) to get assistance.

Will I receive a certificate upon course completion?

Only for Certificate Programs, will students be issued a Certificate.  These certificates will be emailed as a PDF once students have completed their last course in the program.
