Course details

Art 10

This is a general studio course designed to help students understand the principles and activities inherent in art and design. Students explore their artistic expression through different techniques and analyze their work.

Prerequisite: Completed Grade 9

Art 20

Emphasis is placed on the development of observational drawing skills, which are used to prepare for and explore the diverse ways of creating art. Art history and required gallery visits are components of this course. The focus of the course is the preparation of a portfolio for Art 30.

Art 30

This is a course for students who are self-motivated and able to work independently. Students develop greater facility in an understanding of a variety of media and produce a portfolio.
