Our high school credit courses give you the flexibility to fit school into your busy schedule. For adult learners, recent grads, or current students, taking a course outside of normal daytime hours is often the best way to upgrade your marks or complete your diploma.

Fall/winter math classes

Choose a timeframe

Take it slow and steady with a 4 month class (5.5 hrs/week), finish fast with an 8 week intensive (12.5 hrs/week), or work from home on your own schedule. Choose a timeframe below to see which courses are available.


In-class programs

Set yourself up for success! Our in-class programs are taught by experienced, supportive instructors. Tutoring is available before classes, Monday to Thursday from 5:00 - 6:15pm.

Fall term: Sept 5 - Jan 16
(no classes Oct 8, Nov 9 & 14, Dec 22 - Jan 4)
Winter term: Feb 4 - June 10
(no classes Feb 18, Apr 22, Mar 22 - Mar 30, Apr 22)

Fast track programs

15.5 hours/week for 8 weeks
Metro Continuing Education (7835 76 Ave NW)

Pick up the pace! Pick up the pace with Metro’s Fast Track Program. It’s intensive, fast-paced, and best suited for students who are already familiar with the course content and have ample time to dedicate to their studies. Free tutoring is available Monday to Thursday from 5:00 - 6:15pm. Note: Students may take one class per quarter.

  • Quarter 1: Sept 8 - Oct 27 (no classes Oct 6)
  • Quarter 2: Nov 15 - Jan 12 (no classes Dec 22 - Jan 4)
  • Quarter 3: Jan 31 - Mar 21 (no classes Feb 28)
  • Quarter 4: Apr 13 - Jun 8 (no classes Apr 16 & 20, May 18 & 21)

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

Self-directed programs

Your own timeline and pace

Work independently for added convenience and flexibility. With Self-Directed Learning, you have the ability to set your own pace and work independently through supplied print materials.

Program includes access to a teacher advisor and support through scheduled tutorial hours.

Self-Directed Learning at Metro is open to students 20 years of age or older on September 1, 2018.
