Elementary & Junior High Camps & Classes

Metro's one-of-a-kind summer program allows elementary and junior high students to develop their English skills with English as a Second Language classes, catch up in their studies through Academic classes, and expand their horizons while making new friends through Sports & Adventure camps.

English as a Second Language

For elementary and junior high students that are learning English as another language, Metro's summer ESL classes provide a fun learning experience that allows students to improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Beginner to advanced ESL courses are available.

Academic Classes

Metro's Academic classes are curriculum-based and designed to help students catch up or get ahead in reading, writing, math and language arts.

Sports & Adventure Camps

Metro's Sports & Adventure camps are educational, active and fun! Sports camps, taught by certified physical education teachers and coaches, emphasize individual and team skills.

Metro's International Adventure Summer Camp

Do you know a child outside of Canada who would benefit from English as a Second Language classes and various cultural field trips throughout Alberta?

Metro Continuing Education welcomes students, aged 12 – 16, from all over the world to participate in a twoweek Canadian learning experience. By blending classroom English instruction, exciting field trips and learning activities, students will have the opportunity to develop their English skills while discovering the culture and landscapes of the beautiful province of Alberta, Canada. Housing, meals and transportation are included in the twoweek camp fee.

Customized International Student Programs

Metro design programs for international students and visitor groups of any age for short- or long-term study in Canada. If you can dream it, we can build it! Programs can include English language instruction, cultural field trips and activities, housing, food and transportation. We can also include recreational activities such as:

Golfing, Skiing, Biking, Canoeing, Horseback Riding, Camping, Hiking, Photography, Cave Exploring, Sports Camps, Rocky Mountain Adventures, Whitewater Rafting, Fishing and more! THREE MONTHS advance notice is required to arrange a customized program.
